Compliance, Due Diligence & Ethics

Confidence starts with knowing who you're dealing with.

Energy trade and cross-border commerce involve significant commercial, regulatory, and reputational considerations. For that reason, responsible facilitation cannot begin and end with an introduction. Yudiva approaches engagements with a focus on verification, transparency, confidentiality, environmental stewardship, and appropriate professional oversight.

Integrity & Governance

We enforce strict Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and global sanctions screening across every engagement, and assess counterparties against defined commercial requirements before facilitating introductions. The objective: your time should be spent evaluating credible opportunities—not filtering out obvious dead ends.

Technical Due Diligence

Where a transaction requires it, we apply engineering-grade analysis to verify supply capability, quality specifications (e.g. SGS/Intertek), and delivery logistics before entering formal agreements. Diligence is not simply a box to tick at the beginning of a relationship—as an engagement develops, we support appropriate verification of counterparties and documentation, and identify issues that may require further professional review.

Regulatory Awareness

Energy transactions can involve complex Nigerian and international regulatory requirements. We help clients understand the considerations relevant to their engagement and coordinate with appropriately qualified legal, regulatory, financial, or other professional advisers where specialist advice is required.

Confidentiality

Commercial discussions frequently involve sensitive information. Information shared with Yudiva in the course of an engagement is handled with appropriate confidentiality and professional care, subject to applicable agreements and legal requirements.

Environmental Stewardship

We believe the future of energy and commodity trading relies on transparency, carbon accountability, and environmental responsibility. Environmental management frameworks are integrated into the project planning and logistics advisory we provide, in support of our clients' ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) expectations.

Clear Authority

We are transparent about the role we play. We do not represent an introduction as ownership, an allocation as guaranteed supply, or a relationship as an official government mandate unless such authority has been formally established and can be substantiated.

Responsible facilitation is part of our value.
